Leadership Forum: Working in time of crisis presents unique challenges

How do you evaluate an employee’s work performance in light of the current pandemic?

Working during a crisis presents many challenges – jobs change, goals shift, your work site might be closed, childcare might not be available, and the emotional and mental stress weighs on everyone. Still, managing performance remains imperative.

Tricia Perkins

Managing Performance During a Crisis & Employment Law Update is the topic for Nonprofit Leadership Initiative’s (NPLI) January Leadership Forum. NPLI welcomes back Tricia Perkins and Jane Clark from Lake Effect HR & Law to present for the fourth time at a Leadership Forum with a human resources focus.

In a two-part webinar series, January 26 and February 2, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., Tricia and Jane will discuss how to effectively and compassionately manage performance while taking into account the challenges during a crisis and the latest changes in employment law.

Nonprofit staff and their board members are invited to REGISTER.

Jane Clark

Tricia and Jane each have over 20-plus years of experience in human resources, including work with nonprofit organizations.

Their dynamic presentation style and common-sense approach rooted in compassion has made their Leadership Forums both educational and relatable to attendees.

A few comments from participants at last year’s Leadership Forum on Tough Conversations:

“They are both excellent presenters. They are concise with the information that they share and you get both perspectives – legal and HR – which I love and value so much.”

“Jane and Trish were great presenters. Information was relatable and relevant to my role. Great tips and ideas to ensure difficult conversations or meetings can be easier and more meaningful.”

“The dialogue of the group conversations were real work issues and I have been able to leave today with clear steps to take on challenges in the workplace.”

“Informative, great advice and guidance for those of us who are not HR professionals.”

The event is free for nonprofits within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region’s service area. Nonprofits outside of the service area may attend for a $20 fee per person for both sessions. Session recordings will be provided to registrants.
