Thanks to our generous donors, the Community Foundation is administering a 2024 scholarship program that will offer over $1.7 million in post-secondary scholarships for college students, nontraditional students, and graduating high school seniors from more than 70 high schools, in addition to scholarships for K-12 art/music lessons.  

In 2023, our scholarship program awarded $1.4 million from 232 scholarship funds within the Community Foundation to 512 students. Our program was supported by more than 100 community volunteers who donated their time and talents by reviewing applications and participating in selection committees.  

Each scholarship has its own unique eligibility criteria, which have been determined in collaboration with the generous donors who establish each scholarship fund.  

Just like adults might work with professional advisors on their finances or charitable giving, students can work with their guidance counselors to learn about financial opportunities for college. 

High school students can filter the Community Foundation’s list of scholarships (www.cffoxvalley.org/scholarships-listing/) by their high school to begin researching opportunities. The webpage also includes hyperlinks to categories of more specialized awards, for example:  

• non-traditional students
• skilled trades students
• veterans
• students who have physical disabilities
• UWO-Fox Cities Campus attendees
• students in foster care

The Scholarship Portal opened for applications on December 1, with the majority of application deadlines falling on March 1. Some applications have deadlines in April and May. Visit www.cffoxvalley.org/scholarships for more information and to start applying.
