Grants help Brillion community flourish

The Brillion Area Family of Funds recently awarded nearly $6,000 in grants to seven local nonprofit organizations.

The grants, from the Brillion Area Community Endowment Fund, will preserve, strengthen and improve the quality of life in the greater Brillion area.

“We are grateful for our nonprofit partners in Brillion and their commitment to our community,” said Steve Klessig, Brillion Area Family of Funds Chair. “They improve our quality of life, and we’re proud to support the impactful work of these organizations.”

The grant money funded these proposals:

  • Brillion Optimist Club: $800 to assist the Horn Park improvement project.
  • Brillion Police Department: $1,000 to support National Night Out 2024.
  • Brillion Public Library: $1,000 to support the Spanish Collection Expansion II.
  • Brillion School District/Brillion Middle School: $600 to support Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya assistance.
  • Friends of the Endries Performing Arts Center: $800 to support sound and lighting.
  • GROW Foundation: $800 to assist the Derek Emmer’s Heritage Park Project second phase.
  • Samaritan Counseling: $933.26 to support Thrive Calumet.
