GRANT PRIORITIES

The Fox Cares Foundation strengthens communities in its service area by making grants in three priority areas:

  1. Homelessness
    1. Emergency shelter programs.
    2. Temporary or transitional housing programs where counseling, case worker assistance, and education are employed to help people move from shelter to independent, self-supported housing.
    3. Other projects and programs assisting those experiencing homelessness.
  1. Hunger and food insecurity
    1. Projects and programs that improve food access for those experiencing joblessness, inadequate income, addiction, mental illness, or other challenges in their lives.
    2. Mobile pantries.
    3. Food storage.
  1. Arts
    1. Projects and programs that actively engage children, under-represented populations, and large portions of the community in the arts.
    2. Arts projects and programs that engage children and/or young adults in the arts with a goal to improve their math, reading, cognitive, verbal, or critical thinking skills.
    3. Art projects designed to build community.

What We Don't Fund

  1. Because we support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin which provides food to local pantries, we typically will not fund pantries that receive Feeding America support
  2. Programs, projects or events that benefit specific individuals
  3. Religious organizations, unless it is a secular community outreach program benefiting the entire community (e.g. a homeless shelter or food bank)
  4. Governmental entities, including school districts
  5. Fraternal organizations
  6. Sponsorships and fundraisers
  7. Capital campaigns and projects
