Scholarships awarded through the Community Foundation each year help hundreds of area students pursue their educational dreams.

Building a Future

Through the generosity of our donors, we have scholarships available to students from 58 high schools, also for college and nontraditional students, and art and music camps and lessons. See the 2016 scholarship recipient lists by schools and by scholarship funds.

How To Apply

Adam Buechel and Bob Randl Memorial Scholarship

Amount of Award: $500

Criteria: New Holstein High School graduating seniors who intend to pursue a post-secondary education at a college, university or technical school.

Albert H. Schulze Memorial Music Scholarship

Amount of Award: $750

Criteria: Graduating senior of Neenah High School with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 who plans to pursue a music education major at an accredited four-year college or university.

Additional Information: Click Apply Online which will take you to the Fox River Scholarship Center where you will find the application.

Albert W. Wuyts and Louise M. Wuyts Scholarship

Amount of Award: Technical School:$1,000 for two years for a student attending a two-year college or vocational/technical college, for a total award up to $2,000.
College: $1,500 for four years for a student attending a four-year college or university, for a total award up to $6,000.

Criteria: Kaukauna High School graduating seniors who have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

Anthony H. Simon English Scholarship

Amount of Award: $2,500 per year, renewable for up to 4 years

Criteria: Graduating seniors of Menasha High School with a minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need. Students do not need to pursue a major in English.

Appleton Rotary Foundation Scholarship

Amount of Award: $1,000 per year for up to four years (total award $4,000)

Criteria: Graduating senior from a public or private high school in Appleton who is in the top 50% of his/her class, with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and plans to pursue an education at an accredited college or university.

Due Date: March 1

Additional Information: Click Apply Online and register on the Community Foundation's Grant and Scholarship Web Portal. In order to apply for this scholarship fill out the General Scholarship Application.
Semi-finalists will be interviewed as part of the application process.

Arthur A. Koepp Scholarship

Amount of Award: $1,500

Criteria: Graduate of Seymour High School who plans to enter the preaching ministry at an accredited four-year Christian college or university or a teaching major at any accredited four-year university or college and has maintained at least a 2.0 grade point average.

Bill Kuehmsted Memorial Scholarship

Amount of Award: varies

Criteria: Male senior student at Appleton East High School who has been involved in extra-curricular activities.

Brenda Strey Memorial Scholarship

Amount of Award: $500

Criteria: Graduating senior at New London High School who plans to pursue a 2-year or 4-year degree in earth science, environment or construction-related studies.

Bret Younger Track Scholarship

Amount of Award: $1,000

Criteria: Graduating senior attending a public high school in Appleton, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Menasha or Neenah who has participated in track for a minimum of two years.

Due Date: March 1
