Renee Resch Joins the Team!

Hi!  My name is Renee Resch, and I am so honored and excited to join the Community Foundation as the finance manager. In my role, I am responsible for ensuring all contributions are deposited into the correct investment accounts as well as moving cash out of those accounts when it is time to pay out designations.  I also am monitoring fund balances and fees as well as providing accurate and timely accounting services to the Community Foundation and all stakeholders.

We have lived in the Fox Valley for the past 18 years and recently became empty nesters. Our daughter, Payton, is at UW Madison working towards a bachelor’s in nursing with hopes of then completing her masters with a Nurse Practitioner focus.  Logan, our son, is a Junior at UW La Crosse studying Business Management, with a minor in Healthcare Analytics Management.  He also plays on the football team.  Go Eagles!!

Recently my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our kids on a warm and wonderful Caribbean cruise! Outside of work, you can find me spending time with family and friends, reading, knitting, cross stitching, upcycling home décor items, organizing anything (closets and cupboards are my favorite) and supper clubbing.

My passion for philanthropy started at a young age: experiencing my parents volunteer their time with my and my brother’s activities. As my husband and I started our family, I also volunteered with our children’s activities. From Sunday school teacher to Daisy Girl Scout Leader, to PTO treasurer, to Football Mom, I experienced all the fun along with my kids.  There have been several volunteer opportunities in between, but currently I am involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Junior Achievement.

My career has now come full circle.  I started out working for a credit union, then moved onto an accounting firm specializing only in nonprofit agencies in the Milwaukee area.  That agency led me to a finance opportunity at Easter Seals/Kindcare in South Milwaukee.  After relocating to the Fox Valley, I spent 10 years working at U.S. Venture.  I had always hoped to return to the nonprofit world and am so glad to have landed here at Community Foundation!

I am excited to get to better know and work with everyone at the Community Foundation! One of my favorite quotes is “The meaning of life is to find your gift.  The purpose of life is to give it away.” I am confident, with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, we can all do just that!
