Grant helps Brillion Public Library explore renovation options

Thanks to support from a $1,500 grant from the Brillion Area Family of Funds, Brillion Public Library retained the services of Short, Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) last year to perform a feasibility study at the library this year. SEH created a digital model of the building, although further progress has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The library is now reopened.

“Input from the community and community stakeholders is essential to the process, so the feasibility study is delayed until we can allow in-person meetings with a reasonable expectation of safety,” says Rachel Hitt, library director. “Once we can proceed, a feasibility committee will be created and the workshop process will begin. Services including focus groups and a space needs assessment will be included. At the conclusion of the process, SEH will provide a minimum of three renovation (and possibly expansion) options. A minimum of three renderings will be created for the option that is selected. We’re looking forward to proceeding as soon as circumstances allow and appreciate your generous support.”
