We have exciting news to share! Your Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region has a new look through rebranding. We want our brand to best reflect why we exist, what we believe in and where we’re headed. We’re taking a confident step forward with a new logo, tagline and clearer messaging.
The formal definition is to change the way an organization, company or product is seen by the public. It’s a refresh that requires in-depth research and thoughtful planning.
Rebranding is more than just changing a logo. It’s a process of changing what people see and think when they look at or interact with an organization.
Here’s what we look like now!
Why did we rebrand?
We know that many in our communities do not know or really understand who we are and our role in strengthening our communities. We’re here to serve and, to be most effective, we need to help people understand the ways we can help them to help others.
The Community Foundation was established in 1986 from a desire to give an enduring gift back to the community. Although our logo and tagline served us well for many years, it was time for a change to better represent not only our roots but also our future.
Through listening sessions with donors, board members, grant recipients, wealth advisors, staff members and volunteers, we learned how the work we do is perceived. Further research helped to reconfirm our role in strengthening our community. For almost a year, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into creating a new image and tagline that would accurately depict who we are and the impact we help people make in the community.
Our new brand identity speaks to the Community Foundation as a convener and a connector, a community resource for connecting people with the needs of our community. The circle symbol represents a diverse group of people who are closely connected. If you removed one person, the connection would be broken. We welcome ALL who want to help our community flourish.
What isn’t changing
Your Community Foundation’s mission is to strengthen our community for current and future generations by helping people make a difference in the lives of others. We strive to do this through partnerships that help us fulfill roles as a neutral convener, community problem solver, educator, and impact-maker. We’ve supported the community in the past, continue to help during this unprecedented time, and will be here for the future.
At no other time in our history is our pledge to the community more resolute. Our unwavering commitment to people and businesses making gifts to charitable funds, nonprofit organizations receiving grants from the funds, and to every single community member, is to ensure that each gift — of any amount — is maximized for greatest impact. Our new tagline Together, we flourish underscores the opportunity for a better tomorrow when people get together. Your Community Foundation is a connector for good.
