Hi everyone! My name is Iida (pronounced Eee-da) Berg and am thrilled to be a part of the Community Foundation team as an administrative associate, supporting multiple areas of the Foundation.
I have a diverse professional background from working with international visa processes to managing lifeguards at a waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, to my previous position as a library paraprofessional for the Menasha Joint School District.
My career path has been steered by my will to do good in my community and help those in need through good causes, so I am very excited to start contributing to what the Foundation has to offer!
I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Helsinki in Finland, with a major in Communications and minors in Sociology and Area & Cultural Studies, with a specialization in North America.
I was born and raised in Finland, in a small town approximately 30 miles outside of the capital, Helsinki. I moved to Wisconsin following my college graduation in 2016.
When not working, I love binge watching Netflix with my husband and our pet snake, drinking overly sweet coffee drinks and indulging in European chocolate.
I am excited to learn more in depth about the Foundation, community engagement, grant processes and communication in the nonprofit sector, and to bring a Nordic tinge to the team!
