Hi there! My name is Alyssa Sachs and I am excited to be a part of the Community Foundation’s team as a summer intern.
I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse where I am majoring in Organizational and Professional Communication and double minoring in Spanish and Photography. This past school year I was accepted into Lambda Pi Eta, the university’s honor society for communication majors, where I served as secretary. During the school year I work as a Deli Clerk for Festival Foods in La Crosse and I am also a Peer Consultant in the university’s Public Speaking Center.
When I’m not in school, I enjoy taking pictures, volunteering, exploring nature and spending time with my family. I am also a big fan of the Packers, Go Pack Go!
After graduation, I aspire to work in the public relations field. I hope to integrate my background in communication and marketing with my knowledge of social media and photography.
I am very excited to learn about communication and marketing in the nonprofit sector this summer. I hope to gain experience in the community engagement area, donor services, and the marketing/social media side of the foundation. I know the Community Foundation supports the community in a variety of ways, and I am excited to be involved in upcoming projects!
Thanks for reading!
