Welcome Intern Amy!

Hi everyone! I’m Amy Niemuth, and I am interning at the Community Foundation for Fox Valley Region for my fall semester.

I grew up and attended school in New London. Currently, I am finishing my fourth and final year at UW-Green Bay with a major in Public Administration, minor in Political Science, and certificate in Nonprofit Management.

When I was considering places to intern this fall, I knew I would like to intern at a community foundation. I find community foundations to be very interesting in the essence that they help donors to strategically donate to organizations that meet their interests and values. While here at the Community Foundation, I will be assisting with a wide variety of projects, in donor services, grants, community engagement and communications.

Besides interning this fall, I work for the UW-Green Bay advancement office by assisting the Director of Alumni Relations with a wide range of tasks and projects. I am also very involved on campus. I am currently the vice president of a student led organization, Phoenix Philanthropy Club, where we volunteer regularly and organize the Steps to Make a Difference Walk. In addition, I am a Peer Mentor to a freshmen class of 30 students. I help them navigate college through studying, note taking, building relationships, test taking and many more tips and tricks.

I am so excited to be here at the Community Foundation! My goal at the end of my internship is to hopefully have an area of expertise I’d like to start my career in when I graduate in May.

Thanks for reading!
