Bright Idea is new path to grants

We’re excited to roll out new changes to our discretionary grant program, which in the past awarded grant dollars from our unrestricted funds through more traditional application processes. We’re still using grant dollars to meet ever-changing community needs, but the grant program itself has been refreshed.

Announcing … the Bright Idea Fund

Our staff has spent the last year working closely with community volunteers and nonprofit leaders on new grant request processes and all of the details are now available on our website.

Grantseekers should look for:

  • Changes to focus areas and priorities. Revised guidelines, grant amounts and online applications in our new grant portal.
  • A new grant process that offers early communication and brainstorming with Foundation staff.
  • Regular opportunities to share your ideas with other nonprofits leaders in an informal setting.
  • Monthly grant workshops.

Still have questions after reading our website? Come to one of our informational sessions.

Tuesday, July 11: 8:30 – 10 a.m. (Full)
Wednesday, July 19: 1 – 2:30 p.m. (Almost Full)

Both sessions will take place at the Community Foundation. These are open sessions, but we’d like you to register in advance by contacting Annette Look at [email protected] or 920-702-7618.

Set aside some time to check out the grants area of website to see what’s new. We look forward to supporting some bright ideas!
