Grant Workshop – How to Explain your Bright Idea in 5 Minutes or Less
4455 W Lawrence St
Appleton, WI 54914
A strong grant request is one that is well-prepared, thoughtfully planned and concisely packaged.
The “How to Explain your Bright Idea in 5 Minutes or Less” workshop, presented in partnership with Storycatchers, will teach you how to use basic principles of storytelling to make a concise and compelling case for support. Storytelling is an important skill for today’s nonprofit leaders and is useful whether you’re speaking at Rotary, in a grant interview, or with prospective donors. Come whether you’re applying to the Bright Idea Forum and want to workshop your presentation, or you just want to strengthen the overall story of your organization. This workshop, facilitated by Tara Pohlkotte (Storycatchers) and Carolyn Desrosiers (Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region), will be most useful if you have an idea in mind as we will be practicing our storytelling skills together.
About Storycatchers – Storycatchers is a nonprofit with a mission to create community through shared story space believing we all have stories to tell. Storycatchers offers instruction and platforms for community stories through live events, recordings, workshops and more.
