Pardon our dust: Demo Day at the Community Foundation!

Shelly Leadley, Stacie Belke and Michelle Lippart Hardwick do a bang-up job during our staff demolition celebration.

Hard hats: Check. Safety goggles and vests: Yep! The walls of our new office space came crumbling down last week, and our excited staff is now watching in amazement as the new space is already taking shape.

Last fall we announced we are doubling our current office space, and the demolition gave our staff a chance to take a whack at making room for new walls, offices, meeting rooms and hallways.

Thanks to Boldt Construction and our social planning committee for making Demo Day a fun and safe celebration!  Check out our mad sledgehammer skills from last week:

Nuts and Bolts:

The expansion into our space next door – previously occupied by Community Care Inc. – will add almost 10,000 square feet to our office home, which will help us to better respond to the needs of donors and nonprofit organizations. Community Care’s 65 employees relocated to Trasino Centre on Casaloma Drive in Grand Chute. The third tenant, Novaspect, remains.

The new space will also bring together our partners under one roof: the Women’s Fund and Nonprofit Leadership Initiative, whose five employees have office space in our building. Appleton Education Foundation will remain in downtown Appleton.

The renovations are already taking shape with new wall studs going up and other visible changes happening daily. The timeline for this phase is approximately late spring, give-or-take, and then the demolition and noise will begin all over again to reshape our current space! Full occupancy of both areas is planned for fall 2020!
