Professional advisors have a powerful ally in the Community Foundation

For professional advisors in the Fox Valley region, helping clients achieve their charitable giving goals just got a little easier. The Community Foundation is providing several new avenues to give advisors, legal consultants, estate planners and other financial advisors the tools and resources they need.

New advisor portal

A new website portal launched last week allows advisors to create a fund within the Community Foundation online. “We wanted to make this an easy process for both the advisor and his or her client,” explains Michelle Lippart Hardwick, director of gift planning at the Community Foundation. “The Start A Fund tool expedites the fund process and gives us what we need to draft a formal fund agreement.”

The fund tool is one of many features of the new portal, which was introduced at the Foundation’s annual professional advisor network social event, which was held at the Trout Museum of Art in Appleton. More than 60 professional advisors gathered to learn about how the Foundation is helping donors make an impact on lives in the Fox Valley and beyond.

“I’ve been an estate planning elder law attorney for 35 years and most of my work is helping individuals and families navigate legal barriers in planning for the future. I’ve always found working with the Community Foundation a terrific collaboration that’s made my job so much easier in providing my clients solutions to their giving goals,” says Ben Adams, estate planning attorney with McCarty Law, LLC in Appleton.

The Community Foundation’s staff is available to speak to professional firms in our community on a variety of charitable planning topics, share general information or meet one-on-one with advisors and clients.

“The Foundation serves as a powerful ally for professional advisors,” says Lippart Hardwick. “Our team is knowledgeable about philanthropy matters that impact our community and beyond.”
