Introducing our 2019 Celebrating Volunteers winners!

The 2019 Celebrating Volunteers awardees have been selected! Each year we celebrate the people in the Fox Valley who go above and beyond to help make the community a better place with their gifts of time.

Volunteer awards in seven categories will be presented to the winners during the 22nd Celebrating Volunteers community gala May 1, 2019, in downtown Appleton. The event at the Red Lion Hotel is $35 per person, $350 per table of 10. Registration will be open March 1.

Thanks to the generosity of award sponsors, each award recipient receives $5,000 for their favorite Fox Valley charity (youth recipient receives $1,000 for charity plus a $1,500 scholarship).

Since 1998, award sponsors have given $691,000 to local charities selected by their award recipients!

The event honors the volunteer spirit of Paul and Elaine Groth, who died in an automobile accident in 1997. The Community Foundation and The Post-Crescent have co-sponsored the gala since it began.
