Friends celebrate Linda’s retirement

Linda Heckel’s current and former co-workers and other guests turned out Wednesday to congratulate her for her 13 years of service to the Community Foundation and an enviable career.

Linda is retiring effective Friday, April 7, as executive assistant to Curt Detjen, president/CEO of the Community Foundation. The celebration was attended by about 40 people. The location was particularly appropriate. Her retirement celebration took place at The Draw, a nonprofit center for artistic expression on the Fox River at Lawe Street.

The building was formerly the executive offices of Riverside Paper, where Linda (known as Lynn in that workplace) was also an executive assistant before joining the Foundation. She also served as clerk for Outagamie County Judge Thomas Cane. People from that segment of her career also were there to celebrate. Foundation Board members and major donors  were in attendance as well.

Linda will be succeeded by Debra McIntire, who currently serves as an executive assistant at Miller Electric.
