HR training offered to nonprofit executive directors

Posted on Feb 14, 2017, by

Area nonprofit executive directors can sharpen their human resources skills at an afternoon session Thursday, Feb. 16, at Fox Valley Technical College’s Bordini Center, 5 N. Systems Drive.

The Nonprofit Leadership Initiative will present the training from 3:30-5:30 p.m.  The session is only open to executive directors of nonprofits. Space is still available and walk-ins are welcome.

Topics will include:

  • Staff needs analysis and using volunteers versus staff.
  • Performance improvement plans for small to medium nonprofits.
  • Incentive programs for rewarding and keeping staff in small nonprofits that provide limited or no benefits.

The Community Foundation is one of the sponsors of the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative, a partnership of Fox Valley-area nonprofits, funders, educational institutions and businesses dedicated to providing resources needed by effective nonprofit boards and executive leaders. It offers a wide range of leadership, management and technical skill-building programs, as well as peer learning circles, to the entire nonprofit sector in the Fox Valley.
